our mission
The BstronG Forever Foundation was established to provide financial assistance through charitable giving to families of children diagnosed with life threatening illnesses. In addition, the foundation supports St. Jude Childrens Research hospital.
About US
The BstronG Forever Foundation is inspired by the life and memory of Broeden (Brody) Gard. In July 2010, at the age of 9 years old, Brody was diagnosed with DIPG, Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma, a malignant stage IV brain stem tumor. Immediately after diagnosis, he became a patient at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. Brody fought this catastrophic disease for 16 months but in November 2011, succumbed to this awful disease. This special boy’s fighting spirit inspired the BstronG Forever Foundation, which is committed to raising funds to help children who are fighting pediatric brain cancer.
In support of this mission, the BstronG Forever Foundation provides supplementary financial assistance to families with financial needs resulting from expenses associated with their child’s neuro-oncology treatment. Some examples of covered expenses include, but are not limited to: Water, natural gas, electricity, rent/mortgage, outpatient therapies (occupational, physical, speech), durable medical equipment (walker, shower chair, bedside commode, etc).
The foundation covers specific non-medical costs related to a primary brain tumor diagnosis. Direct medical expenses will not be covered. The Application Review Committee (ARC) within the BstronG Forever Foundation reviews and processes all requests for the foundation.
